Holmes County Levy Data for November Ballot

Jackie McKee, Holmes County Auditor, reminds residents of a feature on the Holmes County Auditor’s website.    Property owners can visit the website at www.holmescountyauditor.org and search for their property by name, address or parcel number. Once the parcel is up, click on the tax tab.  Then click on the “View Upcoming Levies”.  Levy information for this parcel will appear.   This feature will allow voters to be informed prior to going to the polls on what the proposed issues mean to their wallets.  It will also assist taxpayers in knowing what the estimated increases will be to their upcoming tax bill due to the passage of the levies by majority of the voters.  The November 5, 2019 ballot will include the following proposed or renewing property tax levies:

Clark Township Fire District – Replacement levy – 2 mills – Fire & EMS

Paint Township – Replacement – 2 mills – Fire & EMS

Prairie Township – Additional – 3.75 mills – Road

Richland Township – Renewal – 1 mill – Fire & EMS

Ripley Township – Renewal – 2.5 mills – Road

Washington Township – Replacement – 2 mills – Road

Southeast Local School District – Renewal – 2.75 mills – Emergency

West Holmes Local School District – Renewal – 1.84 mills – Emergency

Holmes County Home – Renewal – 1.5 mills – Operation & Repairs

Village of Killbuck – Renewal – 5 mills – Current Expense

Jackie McKee states, “Since 2008 we have posted this specific information for every levy-affected property on our website.  It is important to me to have this information available to tax payers so they can be informed on proposed and future increases to their tax bill”.
